The West Duwamish Greenbelt is one block away from our former home in Seattle, and was one of my favorite places for walking in the woods. It was also a secluded place where homeless people stayed sometimes. One day, I noticed a treehouse that someone built in the WDG. There was a child’s toy stuffed horse lying on the platform of the treehouse, but nobody else was around. I made some photographs without disturbing anything, and decided to come back another day. I revisited the treehouse many times for a year, but never saw anyone there. The stuffed horse was in a different spot each time, and a shopping cart and blue tarp would come and go. The treehouse slowly deteriorated during the year. This was my last photo project in Seattle before we moved to the Palouse in 2018.
